Costanti Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2004

Deep garnet-red hue. An expressive nose at first, with plenty of dark, ripe, crunchy fruits, but also powerful floral aromas. There's a tobacco and smoke edge which suggests oak. Medium bodied, smooth and elegant on entry. On the midpalate there is still evident structure—supple but firm and spicy tannins, and strong acidity. Some notes of ripe, red fruits, smoke and rose-petal tobacco mirroring the nose. The tannins give a spicy feel to the finish.
