Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2004
One of the hallmarks of a great wine is the excitement evoked by the arrival of its latest vintage. By that measure, Brunello di Montalcino may be the greatest wine made in Italy, as the debut of the new Brunellos is always one of the most highly anticipated events of the year.

Costanti Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2004
Deep garnet-red hue. An expressive nose at first, with plenty of dark, ripe, crunchy fruits, but also powerful floral aromas. There's a tobacco and smoke edge which suggests oak. Medium bodied, smooth and elegant on entry. On the midpalate there is still evident structure—supple but firm and spicy tannins, and strong acidity. Some notes of ripe, red fruits, smoke and rose-petal tobacco mirroring the nose. The tannins give a spicy feel to the finish.

La Gerla Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna degli Angeli 2004
The Gli Angeli vineyard is the estate's most significant cru. It is covers just one hectare and is situated adjacent to the small "Degli Angeli" church which is the symbol of the Canalicchio area. This cru is extremely privileged, as it benefits from exceptional terroir, sun exposure and slope. Vine age and low yield also contribute to this wine's unique expression.
