Introduction to Italian Varietals
|
Saturday, March 13, 2010 1:00-3:00 PM
There are so many different varieties grown in Italy (thousands, in fact) and sometimes it’s necessary to have a little bit of a refresher course as to some of the most famous grapes. We’ve chosen some great ‘representatives’ for our introduction to Italian varieties course. We’ll be tasting Nebbiolo, the great grape of Piemonte, Sagrantino from Umbria (as realized by the great Paolo Bea) and many, many others. We promise you’ll learn so many important names, you’ll sound like a native when you leave!
