About the company:

Steps away from Union Square Park in New York City, Italian Wine Merchants offers a sophisticated wine selection applauded by wine collectors nationwide. In the spirit and tradition of an old world merchant, Italian Wine Merchants caters to collectors and enthusiasts nationwide by specializing in hard-to-find and hard-to-obtain Italian wines and by providing personalized attention throughout each client's discovery and selection process. IWM's inventory is stored in a specially designed climate-controlled cellar, guaranteeing that each bottle purchased has enjoyed optimal conditions-from grape to glass-eliminating the factor of extreme and inconsistent temperatures that are detrimental to the quality of wine.  Furthermore, unlike other wine stores where service ends the minute you walk out the door, IWM has knowledgeable portfolio managers who familiarize themselves with the goals and palates of their clients in order to advise purchases that are best suited for their taste preferences and investment objectives. They then maintain and build these relationships through regular contact and weekly e-letters that introduce clients to new areas of Italian wine and deepen their understanding of old favorites. This position will involve working closely with the Marketing department of the industry leader in fine and collectible Italian wine. You will participate in all aspects of marketing, including printed marketing materials (newsletter, brochures, menus, etc.), web development (including weekly e-letters), public relations, and an opportunity to participate in the many ‘wine tasting’ events held in our one-of-a- kind Studio del Gusto. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the many different areas, characteristics, and producers of Italian wine, while getting a real ‘feel’ for this field, something which you will not find anywhere except at IWM.  For more information please visit the website: www.italianwinemerchant.com.
